What would Snoop Dogg do if he had a time machine?

A journey through eras, chaos, and pure Snoop-style revelry was captured in this unique venture. For this project, I took on the role of video editor, working closely with Jesse Wellens and James Defina to manifest his visionary concept. Our aim was to not just tell a story but to weave a tapestry of engaging visuals that flowed seamlessly from one scene to another. The narrative was as dynamic as Snoop's beats, inviting viewers into a world where time had no boundaries. From the captivating intro scene featuring a classroom, where Snoop himself transformed into a student, to the stunning moment when he burst through a wall to reveal a bedroom where self-obsession and app-altered self-images reigned, the visual journey was a whirlwind of imagination. Then, with a leap into a time machine, we traversed history, arriving at a cotton plantation where Snoop's intervention against oppression became a moment of empowerment. The depth of the storyline was enhanced by an intriguing cut scene, akin to a movie excerpt, complete with sound design and dialog recording that transported the audience into the heart of the action. The video continued to unfold with whimsical scenes from the multiverse, including a cosmic snapshot of Tupac and Snoop side by side in space, the lyrics echoing through the cosmos. Moreover, we playfully incorporated a greenscreen sword-fighting sequence with Snoop, gifting fans a meme-ready slice of creativity.

As the video editor, my canvas was a collection of assorted scenes and actions performed by Snoop Dogg. My mission? To orchestrate these fragments into a seamless symphony that would lead viewers on a mesmerizing journey, all while aligning with the director's vision. With each clip, I pieced together a storyline that didn't just flow; it pulsed to the rhythm of Snoop's music, creating a unique fusion of sound and visuals.

Sound Design

This video wasn't just about visuals; it was a soundscape of its own. My role as a sound design virtuoso was to sculpt audio elements that resonated with each scene's emotional undertones. Notably, the cut scene, a transcendent moment, relied solely on sound design to convey the intensity. Here, music momentarily gave way to a carefully curated orchestra of sounds that elevated the cinematic impact, bridging the gap between music and storytelling.

As the video editor for "I C Your Bullsh*t," I undertook the challenge of transforming a collection of seemingly disparate footage into a mesmerizing journey. Collaborating closely with Jesse Wellens, I embarked on a creative voyage that saw the fusion of Snoop Dogg's music with a visionary narrative. My canvas wasn't just the timeline; it was a tapestry woven with rhythm, emotion, and time. The intro scene set the stage, capturing Snoop Dogg's transformation into a student. Seamlessly transitioning, I orchestrated the moment where he burst through a wall, transporting us to the next scene. This revelation unfolded as an art form itself, a dance of visuals choreographed to align with the narrative's ebb and flow. From the bedroom, where self-absorption reigned, to the transformative time machine journey, I meticulously orchestrated every frame, every beat, to resonate with the music's energy. One of the video's pivotal moments was the intervention on a cotton plantation. In this segment, the video diverged from the music, delving into a cinematic cut scene. This divergence was an artful decision, a crescendo that blended sound design, dialog recording, and visuals to craft a cinematic masterpiece within the music video. I wove soundscapes that echoed with empowerment, a testament to resilience against oppression.

Adding dimension

As the sonic architect behind "I C Your Bullsh*t," I breathed life into the auditory dimensions of the video. Beyond crafting visuals, I sculpted an audio landscape that complemented each scene's emotional resonance. The cut scene was a standout example of this approach, where sound design emerged as a narrative force of its own. During this pivotal moment, the music withdrew, yielding center stage to the orchestrated symphony of sound design. I meticulously selected and blended audio elements that accentuated the impact of Snoop Dogg's intervention on the cotton plantation. Through sound, I conveyed empowerment, capturing the essence of a transformative narrative pivot. This segment became an immersive auditory experience that elevated the video's emotional depth, bridging the gap between music and storytelling.
